First lets get this over with. 865PEARL, P4, 2.8Ghz, 2G ram, Radeon 9600SE, SoundBlaster Audigy4, Intel HP dvd writer dvd630i, 2-160G sata internal drives, 1-160G IDE external.
After installing Vista Beta on here and finding fixes and/or work arounds for most of the usual problems, I tried to write some backups to a dvd and the computer tells me I don't have a writer installed. I have tried to re-install the software for the writer and all will install, however when it searches for a writer on my computer, it tells me that it can't be found. Under device manager, it lists it as a cd/dvd rom drive, not a writer. Media Center says I don't have a writer either. I have tried to use a multitude of writing programs, all tell me the same thing. Anyone have any answers?
